This is my very first post that i'm making for this very new blog. I suppose it's due time that i might make some introduction.
Dekonstrukcija Yugoviolence is created to favor that specific subgenre of hardcore punk, exclusively in the Ex-Yu region. Something a bit more passionate, raw and sometimes confessional. That is, of course, Emo/Screamo. Its goal is to document, archive and of course review it, for the sake of making it being heard out here.
I was the one behind this list on rateyourmusic.com, spending my good time digging deep on the internet, finding anything on any websites etc. and plenty of people appreciated it. Which is why i then decided to start a blog, writing in-depths of each bands, giving some of their backgrounds and getting their names out there.
It is prominent that lots of blogs outside the region have been documenting bands around their area/region. It is also prominent that blogs in this area are documenting bands, but here's a problem: Nearly no one talks about Emo/Screamo in the region.
Which is the sole reason why i started this blog. To spread the word of mouth, to share interests and to keep making it known to the world.
With that being said, this blog's journey has just begun. More features will be included soon.
